The Holy Land contains a potent combination of mystery & power that has drawn warriors & poets, prophets & kings, pilgrims, pioneers and searchers of truth to her shores for countless generations. Some have come to conquer, others to gain wisdom and inspiration and many to experience enlightenment.  In the words of the Mystics – it is the “navel” of the world, source of spiritual power & sustenance. We will discover Jerusalem, City of Peace, to meet the people and see the sights, but more importantly, we invite you to discover yourself.

Jerusalem: Eye of the Universe

We will disembark from the cruise ship at the Port of Ashdod, former stronghold of the warlike Philistines and ascend to Jerusalem. As we enter Jerusalem, we will continue to the Old City and enter through the Dung Gate, proceeding directly to the Western Wall Plaza. Here we will take part in a moving ceremony with the Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat, the Rabbi of the Western Wall, Shmuel Rabinowitch & the “Priestly Blessing” ceremony. Thereafter, there will be time for meditation, personal reflection & prayer. Each group will tour the Old City on different routes with the highlight being a visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher as well as the kaleidoscope of color in the Arab Souk. All participants will head out to the Judean Desert, the Land of Abraham and enjoy traditional hospitality at Genesis Land, with live music, dancing & wine.

Our bus will depart from the modern port of Haifa, heading eastwards. Our first stop will be the Baptismal Site of Yardenit where members of the group who choose to do so can enter the calm waters of the Jordan River for rebirth and renewal. We will dine together at the Manna Restaurant on the banks of the Jordan River where we will be welcomed by the Mayor of Tiberia.

Heading north around the Sea of Galilee we will enjoy the sites of Capernaum before visiting the Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. We will also release “doves of peace” against the beautiful backdrop of the Sea of Galilee. Inspired, we will head back to the cruise ship in Haifa for the continuation of our journey.
