Michael will demonstrate his extraordinary gift of “sensitivity” by offering intuitive readings, without prior information or cues, for random audience members during this special evening session. His gift took center stage as he recovered from a serious illness in 2009. The result is an uncanny ability to accurately identify the current circumstances of a person’s life, and the conscious and unconscious obstacles preventing him or her from overcoming them and moving forward.

PORTS OF CALL AND CRUISE HIGHLIGHTS

Vancouver, B.C., Canada

If you could watch the history of Vancouver as a time lapse movie, you'd see the creation of a sawmill and the community that grew up around it, which then became the townsite of Granville. Then came the railroad and development of the great natural harbor, with a sudden link to the Orient, Eastern Canada, and Europe. Immigrants came, business bloomed, and the skyscrapers rose up along Burrard Inlet, with the mountains visible in the spaces between the buildings. Go for the galleries, boutiques, public markets, and restaurants of every flavor. Visit vibrant Chinatown and Stanley Park, with its 1,000 acres of forests, gardens and lakes.

Scenic Cruising: The Inside Passage

The fabled "Inside Passage" is one of the most scenic sea-lanes in the world, and one of the few where deep-draft vessels can sail close to steep mountain walls. The scenery is unbelievable, with forests in a hundred shades of green, tumbling turquoise glaciers, and evocative towns loaded with history, culture and adventure. With most of Southeast Alaska accessible only by boat or plane, the Inside Passage is a lifeline to the outside world. Enjoy cruising this majestic setting.

Scenic Cruising: Tracy Arm

This narrow, 26-mile-long fjord is one of Alaska's most dramatic glacier settings. The lush rain forest recedes to reveal a canyon of bare rock. The panorama is astounding. Waterfalls appear at every turn. Icebergs make their way to the sea in wondrous shapes. Tucked away at the end of this waterway are the twin Sawyer Glaciers, calving icebergs into the sea. Kittiwakes, mountain goats and seals are a common sight. Whales and bears may even make an appearance in this magical place.

Juneau, Alaska

When a drifter named Joe Juneau picked up the first Alaska gold nugget out of Gold Creek in 1880, he could hardly imagine that his name would be affixed to a state capital.  Fronting on the blue waters of the Gastineau Channel and surrounded by the stunning backdrop of Mt. Juneau and the Tongass National Forest wilderness, its visual drama never fails to stir visitors.  Visit the stately Governor’s Mansion, saunter through the swinging doors of the Red Dog Saloon, or sightsee the mighty Mendenhall Glacier, just outside town.

Skagway, Alaska

Skagway was known to thousands of hopeful gold rushers as the gateway to the gold fields. Although it boasted as the shortest route to the Klondike, it was far from being the easiest. During the late 1800’s people were drawn to the town's hotels, saloons, dance halls and gambling houses. But when the gold yield dwindled in 1900, so did the population of Skagway as the miners quickly shifted to new finds in Nome. Skagway retains the flavor of the gold rush era, especially on Broadway, with its false-front buildings, and in the Trail of '98 Museum, with its outstanding collection of memorabilia.

Scenic Cruising: Cruising Glacier Bay

If you didn't know any better, you'd think Glacier Bay ostentatious for the way it flaunts its ice. The glaciers practically terminate in your lap. A cruise to Glacier Bay National Park will show you a UNESCO World Heritage Site that protects a unique ecosystem of plants and animals living in concert with an ever-changing glacial landscape. When a monumental chunk of ice splits off a glacier and thunders into the sea the impact shoots water hundreds of feet into the air. You hold your breath as you catch the moment on film. Then you wait for it all to happen again. And it does: Glacier Bay has more actively calving tidewater glaciers than anyplace else in the world.

Ketchikan, Alaska

This waterfront town built on trestles, docks and pilings looks like it has been plucked from a storybook about frontier life. Explore historic Creek Street, now a covey of contemporary art galleries and quaint boutiques. Meet the spirits of the raven, whale and eagle as you view the largest collection of totems in the world at Totem Bight State Park.
