Ports of Call

Sydney, Australia

Sydney, Australia - Considered one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the Southern Hemisphere, Sydney offers just about anything and everything - from its dramatic harbor and cosmopolitan city center, to its protected coves, miles of beautiful beaches, wineries, and the spectacular Blue Mountains. Tour architectural marvels like the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbor Bridge, or view life below the surface from the Aquarium's underwater walkways. Sydney offers world renowned Aussie hospitality combined with unique and spectacular attractions. Our cruise itinerary is unique in that it provides you a floating hotel room in Sydney harbor on your last night.

Cairns (Yorkey's Knob)

Located in North Queensland, Cairns boasts an infectious energy surrounded by a lush tropical rainforest. To the east lies the Coral Sea and the Great Barrier Reef. Apart from being the gateway to magnificent natural attractions, this waterfront city offers an abundance of possibilities, including the opportunity to safely spot crocodiles. It’s one of the world’s most popular diving and snorkeling sites. Explore the reef and offshore islands and be amazed by the lush forest, home to half of Australia's animal and plant species.

Port Douglas

The once-sleepy, now-bustling seaside village of Port Douglas is a hub for the Great Barrier Reef and rainforest coast. It has become an international holiday mecca, sharing the same tropical latitude as Tahiti. You'll have the opportunity to enjoy a full day of marine adventures with options to swim, snorkel and dive, or view the reef from an underwater observatory. Port Douglas is a perfect base for exploring the Great Barrier Reef, the rainforest at Daintree, and the beaches at Cape Tribulation. Palms sway over the golden sands of Four Mile Beach, clear creeks run through Mossman Gorge, while crocodiles and cockatoos inhabit the nearby rainforest and wetland.

Willis Island (Cruising)

This island lies just east and beyond the Great Barrier Reef, in the Coral Sea Islands Territory. It is the southernmost part of a group of three islands, which stretch 7 ½ miles. It is home to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology's weather-monitoring station, making it the only permanently inhabited island in Australia's Coral Sea Islands Territory. The island boasts a huge amount of black-browed albatross, several species of booby, sooty terns, wedge-tailed shearwaters and sea turtles.

Arlie Beach

One of the best departure points for excursions to the Great Barrier Reef, Airlie Beach is extremely popular with backpackers, yachtsmen and other lovers of the tropical lifestyle. Sailing among the calm and protected waters of the Witsunday Islands, exploring charming shops, exhilarating skydiving over the shoreline, and everything in between is going to make this a memorable visit.

Brisbane

In the heart of Queensland, Brisbane's cultural sophistication shares its proximity to the Australian wilderness. Brisbane offers a diversity of possibilities: Cuddle with koalas at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, take a trip out to Moreton Bay to feed wild dolphins, or trek to the top of Mt. Coot-tha Lookout to take it all in. Beyond landmarks such as the 1930s City Hall and the Treasury Building's graceful colonnades, you can cool down under a canopy of subtropical foliage at the Botanic Gardens, gaze at contemporary art at the Gallery of Modern Art, discover dinosaurs at the Queensland Museum, and view skyscrapers from the gently revolving Wheel of Brisbane.
